The Keri Smith Adventures

If you guys haven't heard of the author Keri Smith you're definitely missing out.

I first stumbled upon Keri Smith at my local Hastings (which is like a Barnes and Noble but waaayyy much better, anywhere from comics, movies, to books, but this blog isn't about that store its about Keri Smith in case you forgot).

From what I remember I was just looking through some art books and found myself reading a title off of this red book called "This Is Not a Book". Which made me wonder "If this is not a book then what the heck is it?" Not knowing what this book was I flipped through a few pages and off to the register I went.

Here I was in my room wondering what I got myself into with this book. I had no clue how to make use of this book, what this book even was, or why I even purchased this book without researching it.

I figured after purchasing this book the front cover stated by Keri Smith creator of Wreck This Journal. Then I thought to myself "Oh man am I suppose to purchase that book first?" "Maybe this book will make sense if I did?" Back to the store I went to find this so called "Wreck this Journal", of course I read the first few pages stating I'm going to need some art supplies, pens, crayons, pencils, markers dirt DIRT?!!?? Why do I need dirt, etc. I definitely saw the light at the end of the tunnel and put 2 and 2 together, I guess these were art journals (whatever that may be).

And so it began my Keri Smith Adventures!

I think its become more of a collection then an adventure, in this order I've purchased these books This Is Not A Book, Wreck This Journal, Mess, Finish This Book, The Pocket Scavenger, and her latest Everything Is Connected. With all her books piled up and unfinished, I finally came up with a solution why not continue my Keri Smith Adventures on my blog.

Monday will be Mess Monday
Tuesday will be
This Is Not Tuesday
Wednesday will be
Wreck It Wednesday
Thursday will be Thursday
Scavenger
Friday will be Finish This Friday

I'm still debating if I will pick one day of the week for the whole month. Meaning next month I can do every Mondays Mess Monday and the following month will be This Is Not Tuesday and so forth. Or I can also do every other week Monday through Friday, I have until June 1st to figure out what I want to do.

Influenster Review On Red Rose Real Tea

I recently received the Red Rose Real Tea in the flavor Blackcurrant Raspberry complimentary from Influenster for testing and review purposes.

Packaging: The packaging is a great size to take with you where ever you go. It fits perfect in your purse, gym bag, basically anywhere.

Experience: At first I was a little skeptical on trying this flavor I've hear of raspberry before but the blackcurrant part I wasn't too sure. Being the tea lover that I am I didn't mind tasting this right away, and the flavor was AMAZING!!!! Each bottle of Real Tea is 24 servings, and one squeeze for each 8 fl oz serving.

Mixers: Other then just squeezing Red Rose Real Tea in your water I came up with a cocktail recipe.

INGREDIENTS:
10 OZ Glass
CIROC vodka in Red Berry
Blackcurrant Raspberry Red Rose Real Tea
Water
Ice

DIRECTIONS:
1. Mix water and Red Rose Real Tea. What I ended up doing was using a 16 fl oz water bottle and adding the Real Tea in there (I used 2 squeezes and the flavor was perfect).
2. Next add ice to 10 oz glass and add a shot of CIROC vodka in Red Berry, and add in the Real Tea mixed with water.
3. Stir and enjoy.

Comment down below how you enhanced your Real Tea don't forget to put your recipes in the comment as well.

I hope you guys enjoyed my review on Red Rose Real Tea in Blackcurrant Raspberry flavor. Again I did receive these products complimentary of Influenster for testing and review purposes.

Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Built In Whitening Pen

Recently I received the Colgate Optic White Toothbrush with the built in whitening pen complimentary from Influenster for testing and review purposes and this is my first impression review.

Packaging: Being that there was a tooth brush and a whitening pen the packaging was a great size compare to most packaging, it wasn't bulky at all. The storage of the whitening pen in the tooth brush is really convenient and almost impossible to misplace.
Experience: My experience was really simple, just simply brush, whiten and go. It's recommended to use the whitening pen 2 times daily. The application was simple too, they do recommend to use 2 clicks of gel for top teeth and 2 clicks for bottom. This part I did find myself using three instead, in my opinion maybe I wasn't fully turning the whitening pen and that could be why I found myself doing 3 clicks.? The go part I did find a little awkward being that there was no rinsing necessary. It didn't have a bad taste to it although it did feel weird for a second. The first time I did rinse a little bit being that it was too much of an awkward feeling and I wasn't too sure what to expect. The brush experience was good like any other toothbrush I did receive the medium bristles.
Results: The results do say that it works immediately and I feel like it did but I'm not quite sure I would  say it lasted all day. I wouldn't mind purchasing this item again and giving it another try, for my personal experience I would buy the toothbrush with the optic white toothpaste and if there is a mouthwash available as well.

What I loved the most about the toothbrush and whitening pen? I liked how it was very compact and the whitening pen fits in the toothbrush handle. I did see immediate results but I also felt like it didn't last the whole day.

I would definitely recommend everyone to give Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Built in Whitening Pen a try.
Once again I did receive these products complimentary from Influenster for testing and review purposes.

Thank you everyone for reading my review, don't forget to read the rest of my blog posts I do have DIY's available :)

DIY is now on Tuesdays :)

Like I said before in my recent blog post, DIY Fridays is now moving to Tuesdays.
A few weeks ago I was asked to be a guest for The Vlog Projects on YouTube. I'll put the link down below so you can check them out, and please subscribe to them as well as my channel. Anyways their challenge for that week was to create a superhero and we could create a costume if we wanted to. I chose to make a costume (well the bottoms). I ended up making a tutu for my bottoms, so I figured why not add the steps to DIY Friday (which is now Tuesday lol).

I am going to make a not that a lot of people said it only took about half an hour....hmmm.... ***WARNING***** this project is time consuming and does not I repeat DOES NOT take half an hour to make.

Anyways back to the drawing board:

Materials:

  • I bought 4 rolls of 6" glitter tulle in pink or magenta and blue (2 of each). I purchased these on clearance at Wal-Mart for I think $3.00 ea.
  • 1" ribbed non-roll Elastic in 1 yd. This was about $2.00 if I can remember.
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun

Step 1:

  • Measure tulle to how short you want the tutu to be, and then multiply by 2. I did 15 x 2 = 30 and added an inch. Continue to cut the pieces doing one pink, then one blue, pink, then blue, and so on. I can't really say how many pieces I cut but I did lose count after 20, so just eyeball how many and you can always cut more if you need to.

Step 2:

  • After cutting the pieces of tulle you'll want to begin to measure the elastic. I just place the elastic around my waist and measured how low I wanted it to be and before cutting minus an inch or 2. Instead of sewing the ends I just hot glued the ends.

Step 3:

  • Now this part is going to be the time consuming part and it can be a little bit confusing so pay attention and read this step over again if you have to. Take a piece of tulle and fold it in half. Now lay the looped middle a couple of inches over the elastic. This step everyone seems to put over the elastic, I found it a bit easier to place it under.

Step 4:

  • Now hold the 2 ends together then pull them around the back (or front) of the elastic and through your loop, forming a slip knot. Keep pulling the ends until to tighten the knot. {Being that I chose glitter tulle it can get a little messy, but on the bright side I ended up recycling the glitter for another project} Rotate the colors and continue to slide it to the end.

Quick Update

HEEELLLLOOOO Bloggers and Bloggette readers/DIYers/Blog makers/and everyone in between.

Just a quick update on what has been going on and why I haven't posted any blogs/DIY blogs. The reason behind that was in November I had mentioned I was doing some training out of town. Well being that after the training it was the holidays and my official start work date I didn't have time to post anything. Also once January came around it was the new year and on the 13th was my birthday and the 15th was my dads. I am now free after all these crazy holidays and birthdays, so yes I will be back to posting. I know tomorrow is Friday I will not be doing a DIY, but I am thinking about moving my DIY on Tuesday. Also I will be doing more youtube videos this is my new year goal and I plan on doing so. I have a new camera and laptop so everyone be on the lookout.

That is all for tonight remember to rock on and stay beautiful. ;)

DIY Fridays will be on Mondays

I'm moving DIY Fridays to Monday only for 4 weeks starting this week. Due to the fact that I am in Vegas training for work every Thursday through Saturday, so it will be hard for me to do any DIYs until I come home. Sorry guys for the inconvenience come back on Mondays though. :)

Rock on DIYers ♡
