I've always wanted to make a nail polish rack since I first saw it on Pinterest and I've finally had the courage to make one.
What You Will Need:
- Ruler
- Duct Tape (This is optional)
- Hot Glue Gun
- 3 Foam Boards
- X-acto knife
- Scissors
Step 2: The second board you're going to mark, draw, and cut SEVEN 2"inch horizontal lines/strips. (These will be your shelves). Put the strips aside and begin with the third board. (see step 3).
Step 3: The third board you're going to mark, draw, and cut TWO 2 1/2 vertical lines/strips. (These will be the sides or your rack). ***Note keep in mind these need to be the same length as the back of the rack (first foam board) NOT the same size of the second board.
Step 4: Now with the same board you used to cut your seven 2"inch strips, you're going to mark, draw, and cut SEVEN 1"inch horizontal lines/strips. (These will be prevent your nail polish from sliding off the shelves.)
Step 5: With the seven 1"inch strips you're going to want to duct tape these. You're probably going to leave about an inch to half an inch room at the ends. Just enough to fold over the ends. Make sure to smooth out any air-bubbles if any.
Step 6: Set the duct tape strips aside and begin with the 2"inch strips. Hot glue the seven 2"inch strips to the 5"inch lines you drew on the first foam board. I ran a line of glue on the bottom of the shelves just to ensure that it's stable and to seal off anything that wasn't. Now to make the sides of the nail polish rack, take the TWO 2 1/2"inch strips and glue them to the side of your rack.
Step 7: Take your SEVEN 1"inch strips you duct taped and glue them to your shelves to keep your nail polish from sliding out. Now this last part is optional, I duct taped the sides of the nail polish rack so it doesn't look plain. I think if I had the pink and black zebra print duct tape I would have just left the sides black.
And the finishing product is below, I really hope you guys enjoyed this DIY and once again I do apologize for being late. I suck... I know just kidding.
